Painting

I

think I’ve mentioned before here that on of my favourite artists is Franz Kline. It’s pretty visual that in my humble painting attempts I’m influenced by his works. There are many artists whose works are dominated by black and white, but his works have a very particular energy about them.

I find this quote by him “People sometimes think I take a white canvas and paint a black sign on it, but this is not true. I paint the white as well as the black and the white is just as important” very strong. It’s very philosophical not only about painting, about life as well.

OK, now I’m off to cook dinner. See you around.

Christmas Tree

I

t snowed for the first time this year on Monday and we finally had to admit that it’s already December and Christmas is around the corner. I set up a little tree on the wall made with Japanese tape – super easy and really good looking. Plus, we get to stick notes with our presents wishes on it. At least me, my husband likes to be surprised and me – since I’m very particular about lots of things – prefer to chose my presents.

Sharpening the Pencils

F

or the past month this blog has been hacked about 87 times, so it was probably not visible most of the time. But thanks to my husband, it has now been repaired and it will hopefully be working.
