t’s Sunday morning, but I still feel in a haze. Yesterday morning (or should I say night) we took my brother to the airport – he’s going back to England after the winter holidays. The 4 of us (our cat too) had to get up at 4 AM, which reversed our daily routine and sleeping patterns.
On the way back from the airport we stopped at a supermarket to do our weekly food shopping – it was 6 AM and the staff looked really surprised as we filled our cart… Then we watched a film at 9 AM, slept through lunch and watched another film in the afternoon, while having lunch.
A very unusual experience, but I think I should try that more often (like once a month) as it makes me the world differently. I’m used to a particular routine, associating different habits with a certain time of the day and this numbs the senses, because I realized I have stopped noticing things.
