The other night we saw Julie & Julia. Really nice and inspiring…my husband was inspired to cook (thank you Julia) and I wore my pearls at home today. After the movie, when we discussed it, my husband said something wise – he said that everybody needs some kind of a personal project. Not just a hobby, but something that has a specific goal and a deadline and visible results at the end.
So I thought that finally I should do something that I have been planning for a while – learn to crochet and master my knitting skills.
I learnt to knit from my grandmother and my mother when I was little. Proud owner of a few quite nice and comfortable scarves knitted by me…but I never took it really seriously – after all I have only 3 pairs of knitting needles. And recently I have become fascinated with crochet – I bought a crochet hook before Christmas, but I don’t really know what to do with it.
So, this will be my project for this year. I’ll keep you posted on how it’s going…
